Impact

Leadership includes what we choose to build beyond the engagement.

Our impact work reflects a commitment to opportunity, education and practical pathways for people to participate in the economies being built around them.

The Sustainable Development Goals

Woven into every engagement
Phoenix Global and the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Phoenix Global measures its work against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and not only in engagements labeled sustainability. We believe every impact the firm helps create, in any industry or sector, should be able to demonstrate its contribution to the goals, so impact measurement is woven into our engagements from strategy through execution.

For clients, this is a value proposition rather than a gesture, and it is the opposite of greenwashing, because measurement is the difference. Contribution with a figure attached is impact; adjectives attached to a pledge are marketing. Work that can demonstrate measurable contribution to the global goals carries more weight with governments, investors, boards and the communities it touches, and we build that evidence in from the start. It is one of the disciplines that elevates an advisory engagement into a durable one, and our Chief Executive's published work with Springer on how business can advance Agenda 2030 reflects a conviction the firm operates by.

The Phoenix Global Scholarship

Eastern Lebanon County High School, Pennsylvania

Phoenix Global endows a scholarship at Eastern Lebanon County High School in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, the school our Chief Executive graduated from. It supports students at the beginning of their own journeys, from a place where nobody hands you a map, on the conviction that talent is evenly distributed even when opportunity is not.

Women in Refugee Camps & Rural Africa

Strategy, execution and respect

In refugee camps in the Middle East and in rural communities across Africa, our Chief Executive has worked alongside women on strategy and on execution, helping them build as the social entrepreneurs they already are, and she will tell you plainly that she took away more than she gave. These women are not vulnerabilities. They are among the hardest working entrepreneurs anywhere, finding ways to provide for families and communities with almost none of what the rest of us take for granted, and some of the strategies and models this firm uses today were learned from watching people thrive with less.

Wherever that work goes, school supplies for the children go with it, because opportunity often begins the moment someone takes the time to show a child that they matter.

Advancing Women in Business

Across our markets

Our leadership mentors and advocates for women in business internationally, from published work on women in family enterprise to years of service in international women's business organizations. Our Chief Executive also volunteers her time with young entrepreneurs, because the future of business depends on them, and someone showed up for us once too.

Every member of this firm carries their own layer of impact, and each is encouraged to bring the causes that matter to them into the firm's work. This page will grow as they tell those stories. We keep it plain on purpose. Impact is something we do, and the people it serves are the point.

The work itself is the best introduction.
